Black and white portrait of John Scott Deyerle on tan brown paper with a white border and light wood frame surrounding it. John Scott Deyerle (1835-1890) lived in Roanoke Virginia and served in the Civil War in the 54th Virginia Infantry and the 21st Virginia Calvary. He was appointed surgeon and after the war served as Roanoke's treasurer before falling ill and dying near Salem. |
